Partnership Opportunities
New Games
The development of new games is a process that requires several months of effort for research, co-design, testing, and final production. These projects are typically funded through grants or a sponsoring organization.
Examples of recent projects include:
- ChronoShift: Reality Rewritten — Escape room game about AI and elections, based on a co-design workshop with information professionals and librarians in six European countries.
- The Evergreen Diet — Game developed with the Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center for breast cancer patients. Co-designed with oncologists and patients.
- AI MisAdventures: Artificial Intelligence and Misinformation; Starbound Secrets: Down the Rabbit Hole, and; The Reel Deal: Online Video and Misinformation — A set of play-based activities for kids ages 8-15. Co-designed with kids, teens, and librarians.
Localizations of Existing Games
This is a unique opportunity to adapt existing games for particular communities. The process involves approximately 10 hours of initial effort using a co-design framework tailored to each game, followed by several check-ins for iteration, testing, and game resource development.
These two games feature entirely new stories using the underlying game mechanics and puzzles of Euphorigen Investigation:
- Galaxy — Co-designed with fans of the Korean musical group, BTS
- Bo$$BabyKoin — Co-designed with BIPOC scholars
Country localizations also result in changes to the narrative to better reflect their social and political contexts. For example:
- Kauzu Euphorigenu — The Czech version of Euphorigen Investigation revolves around a supplement that is being required to add to beer brewing (in contrast to the US version about a brain-boosting supplement in the public water supply)
