The UW Loki’s Loop team is excited to announce a new grant from the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, in collaboration with a fantastic group of partners: PL2030 (lead partner), FRSI (Poland), PiNA (Slovenia) and Cultuurconnect (Belgium), NGOs that bring expertise in youth programming, civic engagement, and public libraries. The project–Escape Misinformation in the Library (ESC-MISINFO)–aims to strengthen young Europeans’ critical thinking skills in navigating the digital media landscape. Over the next two years we have a number of activities lined up:
- Localizing two of our existing games (Euphorigen Investigation and ChronoShift)
- Training selected librarians on the escape room games, to also serve as trainers for other librarians in their respective countries
- Building the capacities of librarians on the use of games for media literacy education, with a focus on climate change
- Conducting outreach to libraries across Europe through a webinar series
