Euphorigen Investigation

Mission
For years a supplement called “Euphorigen” has been used by the very wealthy to boost brain activity, which the government now wants to introduce into the public water supply. A prominent scientist has recorded a statement about whether or not the claims are to be believed. Track down whatever information you can on Euphorigen to uncover the truth and spread the word!
Background
The primary aim of this game is for people to experience what it’s like to be fooled. Most people believe only “other” people are vulnerable; but research shows that everyone is susceptible to deceptive information.
The game begins with players confronting their preconceived biases and emotions around the government and a pharmaceutical company putting a substance in the public water supply. They then navigate misleading charts and headlines, deepfake images and videos, and bot accounts in quest of a trusted scientist’s report on Euphorigen’s efficacy and safety. Questions arise when faced with choices at different points in the game. The debrief allows people to reflect on relevant real-life experiences and share their personal strategies.
This is a packet game for in-person play. Use these resources for a successful and fun event!
